How about we… give back!
How about we… A nice dinner and movie or conversation.
How about we… get our hands dirty by volunteering at a local community garden.
How about we… take some shelter dogs for a walk.
How about we… do some volunteer work at Prospect Park on a Thursday?
How about we… wing an awesome date for my girl, boogie_sf?
How about we… do like Gothamist says and photo document the never ending fog.
How about we… wear stupid clothes and make photos of us on WeHeartPics?
How about we… get our 9+1 NYRR volunteer done?
How about we… take some dogs for a walk at Barc Shelter.

My dad's advice on relationships came when he drove me up to college for Freshman year. "Eric," he said. "All I'll say is this - No glove, no love." My grandmother's wisdom: "Eric, I just want you to be happy. It doesn't matter to me if the girl is Jewish. You are what matters most to me, so I'll love whoever you love. But, Eric, just one thing.... No Chinese, ok?" (WTF - I know, right!?) And you wonder why I'm on the internet for dates. What else? Oh, I suppose I could tell you that I grew up in Philly as a precocious, chubby, nerdy kid, and that keeps me humble, grounded and focused (more than some of this profile might indicate). Or I could volunteer that, to me, this sweet life is not worth living if you don't have fun, laugh a lot, stay open and curious about new things, and gather up good stories along the way. But why would I want to say any of that? Tell me about you.
Grew up in Upstate NY. Went to college in Boston Lived in London for 4 years Moved to New York and became a genuine workaholic like most other people in this city. Volunteering and thinking about spending a lot more time helping people.
The mountains in Tennessee, I'm not sure which. We were volunteering at a day camp, but afterwards we were taken on tours of the area. It was absolutely beautiful. We made the trip up in a beat-up, old van and barely escaped with our lives, but it was absolutely worth it to see an entire landscape laid out before us.
i would ask for a volunteer and show my massage skills ...
raised in LA, i moved to the east cost 8 years ago for college and since then have moved in with my parents in NYC. i've volunteered/interned at some museums, and will be starting a library science master's program this fall.
Here in NYC from 0-18, spent summers in New Hampshire, college in Minnesota, grad school in MA, volunteered in Zimbabwe, and kicked around DC for a while. I landed back here about 7 years ago and am grateful to be near old friends and family, especially my 7 month-old niece.
I amassed a number of random animal facts while volunteering at a zoo. Should the conversation ever turn to the differences between lagomorphs and rodents, I'm ready.
I am a Vietnamese-American, born and raised in the cold October snow of Syracuse, NY. I went for art history and forensic chemistry, and working on a graduate program in conservation in UCLondon. Currently, I'm living the dream and working through fabulous projects! My life has been about meeting amazing individuals and exploring new interests, like traveling, salsa dancing, art, museums, cooking, hiking, snowboarding, gymnastics, photography, volunteer work, and willing to try anything new!
The time I volunteered to film a coworker's wedding. Here's a teaser: When I dropped (and dented) the camera before I even got to the wedding, and the camera still worked, I said "Well, at least that's the worst that could happen." Famous last words... (And yes, I've stuck to still photography since then.)
My first call as a volunteer EMT.
