I grew up in downtown Chicago and went to an all girls school from grades 1-12. I went to Fordham and lived in the Bronx for four years; I'm pretty gangsta. I work in the construction/ real estate industry and I'm sometimes featured in US Weekly Magazine as a comedian in Fashion Police. I have new hobbies all the time including painting, rock climbing, and improv.
i'm taiwanese-american, born and raised in ny; 4 years of college at smith, 2 more years at parsons, working as a freelance graphic designer; interests in art, design, cooking/baking, music, dance, crafts, rock climbing, anime, sci-fi, video games, traveling.
I grew up on Long Island and went westward as a young woman - early twenties - to pursue an undergrad degree and play, play, play. I stayed out there for about ten years, and managed to live in about four or five different states during that time. I picked up rock climbing in UT, white water rafting in AK, and finally a graduate degree in non-profit management in OR. I then moved to VT where I lived for about five years and started mountain biking, trail running, and telemark skiing. I had a few different jobs, consulting gigs, and I worked part time as a kid's ski instructor in the winter while living in VT. I made some really great friends I like to visit while living there too boot. I moved back to NY around this time last year. I work full time for a environmental youth development organization, and part-time as a consultant for an environmental consulting firm. Currently, I'm trying to figure out the whole work life balance thing here in NYC.
I was born in Canada but grew up in northern California. Bagpipes make me nostalgic since I spent my childhood doing Scottish Dancing. I am a champion napper. My current passions are rock climbing and pool (billiards, not swimming). I'd like to jump out of planes more often.
Rock climbing, mostly indoor
Love to explore nature, outdoor. Running ING NYC marathon on Nov 1, 2009 at 6h 45min, not a speed fast but finished. Rock Climbing summit Grand Teton 13, 770 ft in Aug. Will get PADI SCUBA certificate in Oct. Enjoy life being a New Yorker. Met museum, Met opera, ABT ballet, MOMA, love to watch Yankee baseball games, Giant football, Nets NBA, Rangers hockey, jogging in central park, and try authentic food in diversified neighborhood restaurants. Favorite newspager-NYTimes, read everyday on the train. Favorite magazine: National Geographic Magazine.
I've had a crazy life from the very beginning, but it has allowed me to always follow my passions no matter how difficult they may be. I'm new to NYC, moved here recently for a job that allows me to continue doing what I want for a living. I'm interested in politics, being good to our planet, eating local organic food when possible and affecting change in the world...I blame much of this on Boulder, CO. I'm also a huge nerd who loves to create interactive things. On the other side of the spectrum, I love the outdoors, rock climbing, cycling, snowboarding, mountaineering, jogging and will try just about anything. I've been a professional photographer for a number of years and have been fortunate or unfortunate enough to see more things than most will ever see. However now I create high tech prototypes for a guerrilla marketing company.
Spend my time skydiving, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, kite boarding, kayaking and being active with friends. Also enjoy gourmet cooking, making sushi, chess, wine, travel, theater and good conversation. Graduated with a degree in Creative Writing and Philosophy. Spent 2 years in the Army in Germany. Grew up on a rabbit farm in Dogpatch, Arkansas.
I'm a Florida native who bounced from being pre-med to music to bartending to catering to web development at a startup. I love to cook (and eat), play/write music (when I find the time), rock climb, and hang with my close friends. I love to travel and am finally checking out Europe this year. I usually spend my free time grabbing drinks or cooking with friends, going to concerts, thinking about what I'm going to eat next, doing tech stuff, and being creative in any way possible.
The cop who thought my movie set was a murder scene. African dance class. I find I'm funniest when I'm earnestly trying to do something I'm not very good at so: rocking-climbing, trapeezing, and kick-boxing all have funny stories attached to them.
