How about we… help get me into the NYC public art project "Art Takes Times Square" this summer by clicking this link and collecting my work! it's something different to do on a Friday night! I need 10 more "collects" before midnight! thanks and happy dating! http://CatMorris.artistswanted.org/atts2012.
How about we… Go see the "rock and roll icons photography " exhibit at the NY Public library for the Performing Arts.
How about we… Something cheap. Being self employed is kinda skinny on the pay (I sell my art and sometimes nobody buys.) Probably a picnic next to a lake. A short hike. Something outiside, during the day, and in public (I'm just as scared of getting raped as you are.)
How about we… A wide range of public places to visit is exactly what make the Seattle area ever-interesting. We can meet for a caffeine hit at a local cafe, a meal chat over or maybe even at one of my favorite dim sum places if you feel a little adventurous. The Seattle Art Museum? Or...?
How about we… find coffee and enjoy public art around town?
How about we… Create our own public art scavenger hunt, using the info from 4 culture and city of seattle.
How about we… wander through the public art from Battery Park to Rector Park.
How about we… Take Time Out's "Public-art Walk" in Battery Park? http://newyork.timeout.com/things-to-do/1673945/public-art-walk.
How about we… take pictures of each other imitating public art.
How about we… figure out what all the bizarro public art around the city is all about...over shakes at shake shack.

Millennium Park in Chicago. Public art and park space done right.
I remember my big sister taking me to a concert in the 60's when I was five or six years old. I can't remember who the artist or group was, and my sister is no use as I'm sure the 60's drugs have fried her brain (just kidding, sis). Some stand out concerts that I do remember from my youth include: David Bowie (especial the Glass Spider tour), Eurythmics, Modern English, Cure, Dead Kennedys, Violent Femmes, Laurie Anderson, Thompson Twins, The Clash, General Public, Art of Noise, Echo & The Bunnymen... My dream concert would include Bowie, B.B. King, Annie Lennox, George Harrison (all things are possible in a dream), Tom Waits, Grace Jones, and a few others I'm forgetting at the mo.
a picture of a large-scale public art project I completed 2 years ago that I would love to share
Iceland on an emergency landing, Cadiz in a youthful mood, La Linea amongst gunshots, Portland/ME for an impromptu public art installation, boudoir in Marrakech, sketchy beach/ruins in the north end of La Albufera, former factory in Thessaloniki ... I've enjoyed a lot of places I've visited.
I'm Colombian-American, have a passion for both cultures. I recently gained my Associates, in Arts to be specific, concentrated in Communications, Public Relations. I just got accepted to Montclair State University in Montclair, NJ and am so excited about moving forward. I have been bartending on the side for the past year and love my sports bar! The past is the past for me, I only look forward!
I grew up in Texas outside of Dallas.. I studied mathematics at a liberal arts college in Memphis, Tennessee. I moved to New York to teach, and currently teach in the Bronx. I have worked ever since it was legal at the following places: Tom Thumb, Pizza Hut, my college gym, as a resident assistant, and at a New York public school, all of which have provided me with humorous stories to share.
Born in Vancouver to American parents, I grew up in Santa Fe, Berkeley, and rural South Carolina. I moved to NYC 8 years ago for law school, and have practiced public interest (non-profit) law ever since. I care deeply about people, especially those living in poverty. I adore my family, have lifelong friends, and always manage to make new close friendships wherever I go. I value cooking at home with locally grown food, appreciating art (and my artist friends), and having real honest conversation and lots of laughter in my life.
Curious about everything, planning, dreaming up projects, listening, scheming, making lists (see). East coast homeland, tried out lives in texas, california, north carolina, catskills, rhode island, probably other places I've forgotten. School, made movies, digital stuff, back to school, more digital stuff, moved to the country, newspapers, screenplay fantasies, more digital stuff, more school, fell in love with a made-up field no one understands. Along the way have hung on to friends, books, beach rocks & shells, dreams for art in public spaces.
I was a chubby child enamored by cover models and bodybuilders so health and fitness became a lifelong habit/hobby/love. I've always been a creator and danced through art in attempts to create comics and cartoons--flip book style--and journeyed into technology and writing to create websites imitating big media publications--I'm a dreamer--which eventually led to fulfilling a childhood of dream of making video games. During the 2008 presidential season, I found Ron Paul which led me to libertarian thoughts/writings/treatises that put into words and expressed ideas I've long believed but could not express coherently. I went to college in Arizona--only other State I've lived in as a native New Yorker--to study Game Design but, thought better of it and returned home to study Business instead; Marketing to be exact to satisfy my business-y side.
I was born and raised in upper Northwest DC, went to NYU for video production, studied abroad in South Africa, worked in freelance video in New York, spent a year at a community media center in Appalachian Eastern Kentucky and now I'm back in DC. I produce web videos for a public-health non-profit. I love checking out local film festivals, art museums, and other cultural events.
