How about we… go urban exploring with philosophical conversation.
How about we… have a deep conversation about the nature of all things in front of Philosophers' Rock.
How about we… get pretentious coffee and philosophize.
How about we… grab a sophisticated brew at a coffee shop in the Third Ward, discuss literature, and think philosophical thoughts.
How about we… ponder the philosophical question of what Consciousness means over a meditative walk with an absence of expectations.
How about we… have dinner at The Kitchen and then wander Pearl people watching and philosophizing
How about we… philosophize about life over a glass of wine in Brooklyn?
How about we… Wax philosophical over beer.
How about we… Each play a song we like a lot and a song we don't really like. Rinse. Repeat. Try figuring out each other's personalities from this. Obtain deep philosophical insight into truths hiding below the padding of the universe. Or simply have fun with some good or horrible music.

goofy and philosophical in frequent/rapid alternation, has a mischievious sense of adventure and an intellectual sense of humor, who likes to spend time on the patio doing nothing some days and out exploring the world other days, and who enjoys useless knowledge, bad singing to the radio, and good food & better conversation. Most of all, someone who values what I value -- commitment to family, few friends, but really good ones, life at a pace you can enjoy, making your own choices without caring what the chattering classes think and courage to do the right thing even when it's hard.
creative philosophical humanitarian light being constantly exploring and expanding. lived in eight cities around the country. passionate nature enjoying the moment. making art, theories, friends, stories, and memories.
A native new yorker back in the big city looking to have some fun and maybe engage in some philosophical debates with someone.
Out in space. Or a philosopher.
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, closely followed by Eyes wide Shut.
This is pretty obscure otherwise I might have a job teaching in academia......Hegel's early philosophical writings . . .Only mentioning it because never had the chance to before...and this was decades ago ...Don't worry , we do NOT EVER have to discuss and I won't ask you about or tell you about!!!
Either my original LOTR double sided theatre movie poster, my signed copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (in Japanese), or the antique wooden dragon my parents' got me for Christmas one year..
I just moved to New York from Washington, DC. which means that I am just learning. Let's see how this works... Barthes wrote "Language is a skin: I rub my language against the other. It is as if I had words instead of fingers, or fingers at the tip of my words. My language trembles with desire." I think that quote says a lot about me - I'm a designer, and I sketch to create myself, and to create things of beauty. I listen to Phillip Glass and Delirium. I write recursive programs in LISP and wear Prada. In fact, i know as much about maths as I do about 20th century literature and fashion (which isn't much). I feel like I have been wondering through the desert a while. I drink wine and write bad poetry to support my career habit. No. Try again... I write wine and drink bad poetry to support the military-industrial complex. Hmmm...start over: Sage-like, goal-oriented, Neruda-wanna-be, Philosopher-King (in my mind) on the Sin-Scale , strategically situated between greed and sloth - work is fun, but its a means, not an end; a challenging career in design; a preference for dinner at eclectic restaurants: I am a foodie. I am an blend of East and West coast. I am somewhere in my thirties (5'10 with heels). I have a nice family, relatively speaking. A younger brother, and two older parents, one female and one male, and a very large extended brood. I am comfortable sitting at home wearing a suit as well as going out and wearing a suit; sometimes I wear absolutely nothing but manola blahniks and a hermes scarf - but only for tea at the four seasons while contemplating notions of beingness and time, or at least positioning a copy of Walter Benjamin's Illuminations on the table so people don't think I'm vapid. I was assembled in the US, but my parts are mostly Kosher. I have a discernible geeky side, but hide it well.
Tiny pianist in San Francisco becomes composer in St. Louis becomes teenage philosopher in New York becomes adult theater director/writer/filmmaker.
I'm come from a small town, and two very close families. I'm very analytical, and tend to be philosophical at times. I'm almost always either watching movies or listening to music. I tend to lean more towards being 'old fashioned' than sleeping around. I care about how I look, and I have no problem helping a girl pick out an outfit, or go shopping.
