The short version: Tea. (In the interest of time, feel free to skip forward) The long version: Classical music, lots of other music, European art (especially Italian Renaissance), Japanese culture, cognitive psychology, education & pedagogy, theatre, opera, world travel, NYC, London, Italy, my 3 guitars, sailing, cross-country skiing (dowhnill less so), Ballroom dancing (competitive & social), long-distance cycling (no longer), teaching all sorts of people how computers work, technology, business, strategy, investing, choral & a cappella singing, or singing in various languages I don't know, jamming with people, home-made mojitos, dirty martinis, Campari, cognac, various cheeses, English afternoon tea, the Japanese tea ceremony, and just tea in general. (I offered to skip forward, now didn't I?) These have been my loves over time, with various degrees of attention given to each. However, I am much more single-minded when it comes to female companionship!
I know the quick way to make a double welt pocket. I know where the Institute for Regional Education is currently located. I have a theory about toxoplasmosis. I can show you how to dig for razor clams. I can take an ungrounded outlet and make it grounded. I'd tell you the name of my favorite restaurant in Havana, but it doesn't have one.
I was born in Brooklyn Jewish Hospital; lived in Miami from ages 2 to 13; have been in New York ever since except for college near Boston and a little studying in England; used to write songs, sing in small clubs, and do improvisational comedy with medical students; and have been getting my doctorate for a long time while teaching (from alternative high school to English Composition to college and grad school Education courses).
So much potential and education destroyed by "that sports thing." (Just ask my mother!)
I was born in NY and then moved to England for most my education and just under 10 years. I took a couple of years between school and university to travel around the world and just moved back to NY a year ago. I live to travel : )
Open minded, outgoing, great gentleman, well traveled, well educated and fun
Born in Brooklyn, educated in Deerfield, Mass and New Haven, CT. . . lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Florence, Italy, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Wisconsin, Illinois. Whew!
Born and raised in Chicago, educated in Manhattan, settled in Brooklyn.
All about Education, Traveling, Eating, and Laughing - but not always in that order.
I am not the best story teller but I would advise u not to ignite my passion about the issues with education unless u want me to get on my soap box.
